Plum tree flowering in June?

I ordered a Victoria plum tree on 6th June, it arrived a few days later. Its on pixy rootstock if that's relevant, it's two years old according to its label, and there were no fruits on it as to be expected.
It was quite dry on arrival so I stood it in a bucket of water. For one reason or another I then didn't get around to planting it for a week or so, so it remained stood in the bucket of water. I then planted it in the ground and added a bit of additional compost to improve the soil.
Over the last week or so it has started sprouting lots of new leaves. Tonight I have done my evening walk around, and there's a flower on it?!? What's going on? Don't they flower March/April time?
Bit unsure what to do, shall I just leave it and assume its happy in its new home? Or remove the flower and any more that appear so it concentrates on rooting?
