What is this foul-smelling hedge?

Hi team. I recently cut back the hedge in my garden, and ever since, the garden has a bad, almost sort of ‘foul’ smell. It is worse when it’s rained.

I suspect the bush is the culprit but I don’t know what it is. I’ve seen it could be a viburnum with a beetle infestation, or could it be something else?

thank you!

@joewilliscroftM4287n4o I think it is very likely and yes a foul smell is from the larvae. The only form of control is to interrupt the life cycle which is very difficult with a bad infestation. Viburnham Tinus is often affected the most. If you type in Viburnham Beetle at the top there is more information. Welcome!
I did walk around a new housing estate last week this shrub was everywhere it did cross my mind that an infestation would be very unpleasant.
