Eucalyptus tree becomes a shrub

I recently posted in here about my eucalyptus which was brown and dying, unfortunately the tree seems to have completely browned off and is dead or dying, however at the base there is new growth. What should I do? Do I let the shrub establish then chop the top off or can I chop the tree off now?
thanks

You can cut the brown woody stem down now  and let the new growth take over.  You then have to decide whether to let one or two main shoots  to give a multi stemmed tree, or just have  a bush that you can cut down  low every two or three years and have a bush shape. A bush shape is a lot easier to manage.
  • Our our tree looks just like this but there is no visible new growth...so what can we do
