What's wrong with our Monkey Puzzle?

Hi All,

In the last few months we've noticed our lovely monkey puzzle tree going from a lovely green colour to almost brown from the bottom to the top. A year ago it had some brown branches at the bottom which are normal but now all the branches are turning brown. Could this be due to lack of water considering the weather this and last year in England or is the tree diseased?

Not so healthy looking tree:

Any ideas on what might be wrong with it and can it be saved?

Many Thanks!

@sarnblomw_9tHMvA There was a huge Monkey Puzzle tree near here that sadly succumed to Honey Fungus.
Are other plants in your garden looking healthy? Have other shrubs died? It is sadly something you need to consider. There maybe another poster who can give more advice.
You will probably need the advice of an arboriculturalist.

I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
