Can some advise me what plant this!

It had very soft velvety leaves and pale purple stalks of flowers.

    Lambs lugs.

    Yet another plant that doesn't like growing in our garden. Love the feel of the velvet leaves.

    It loves it here in a hot, dry, sunny bed in well-drained soil and it attracts masses of bees and other pollinators.   Great weed suppressing ground cover too.

    It does look messy by the end of summer tho and then it's best just to cut down all those spent flower stalks.
