Getting to be a habit.....

.....but does anyone know what this is please?
It stood quite upright till the rain yesterday. The leaves are pretty sturdy, almost sharp, and I will stake it unless someone says it's a prolific self-seeding nasty :)

No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.  B)

    Shasta daisy maybe

    In the sticks near Peterborough
  • I had a quick Google and it could be, though the serrations on the leaves look sharper than those in the images I found.
I have to apologise for asking before the buds turn to flowers.....call me impatiently curious.... :)

@Stephanie newish gardener I think it is Shasta daisy too. You are obviously doing a grand job in your garden and have been working hard. Don't forget more ID's are always welcome.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Thanks, though most of the ground work isn't mine, it's what we inherited when we bought it and moved in three months ago. Today I finally did some work on the lilac, and a bit more on the currant, but took some more pics of plants I need identifying, so they will definitely be forthcoming.
