I want to know how big this grows in real life. The various books and websites I've consulted all say different things. What are your experiences with this shrub?

    With all shrubs and trees, the info is quite vague because it largely depends on your location and conditions. 
    They can be pruned anyway if they get too big for the site, but they usually get to around 5 or 6 feet in height and width, and a bit more if they're happy. They can be pruned into more of a 'tree' shape too  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....



    I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
