Winter has damaged or destroyed my established Cordylines, best next step? :)

Hi All
I moved into a new house where we had several beautiful established Cordylines, pictures below:


As you can see they are not showing any signs of growth, are there any tried and tested steps I can take to try and revive them? I was told to wait for a bit before doing anything until summer starts however theres been no improvement so not sure what to do next, advice appreciated

Some people have reported new growth, so I don't know if it's worth waiting a bit longer or not. I'd have thought if they were still going to be viable, you'd have seen some new bits sprouting by now though.
There does seem to be a new piece at the side in that first pic. If so, you would just cut away all the original dead trunk, and let that grow on and take over in it's place
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
