Moss?

I've just had an afternoon clearing out the cascade which get filled with a wiry green plant that someone once called Moss:

I quite like it but it needs clearing a couple of time a year.  OH and myself had our usual discussion about what it is, so could someone put a name to it please?

Thanks

@InTheMoorlands It could be a type of sphagnum moss there are hundreds of different ones.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
  • @InTheMoorlands it’s Greater Water Moss ( Fontinalis Antipyretica).

Looks like it.  Thanks for that.  We've been puzzling for years.
