Beautiful Convolvulus!

Bindweed is now in full flower round here and looks gorgeous if in the right place like hedgerows etc.
The large white flowered hedge bindweed is one my daughter loves in her garden!
The smaller white/pink field bindweed is really lovely.
Photos below show one which was a really bright pink and the other a slightly paler pink in someone's lawn.
Can be a pain if in an ornamental garden but still a beautiful flower!

Yes hedge bindweed flowered up into our buddleia and did look great. We marvel at morning glory (still waiting for ours to come into bloom) but bemoan its relative (it does though take over at times!)

I like field bindweed, such a pretty little flower. I'm not so keen on its big brother as we've been plagued by bindweed ever since we got our allotment and I do mean plagued. The joke normally mentioned down there by the "old boys" is if it was valuable, no one would be able to grow it. It does somewhat irk me that anything I plant gets devoured by the slugs but the bindweed is always untouched.

If I had to choose just one white flower it would be Hedge Bindweed.

I have the little purple relative, convolvulus sabatius.   A lovely plant, flowering for months and months.  It is supposed to be slightly tender, but manages here winter after winter.
