    I think you are mistaken. All the integrifolias are short, non clinging Clematis.

    The larger photo does show it clinging, which the first one didn't. However, I am currently growing C. integrifolia 'Benedikt', and the only reason it has not reached up to 3m is that its 3m-long shoots have tumbled over the top of the 1.5m obelisk I bought to support it and reached back down to ground level. However, I can add that it has been exceptionally tall this (warm, moist) season, that it is growing in half shade which tends to elongate the shoots, and that in general it is more 'beefy' than other kinds of integ I have grown. So, as in so many things, there are infinite local variables.
