Fig tree - leaf problem

Help! I noticed some new leaves on my fig were looking a little ‘shrivelled’ - I also noticed this on a cherry tree that’s been in the garden for years. Looking closely at the fig, some bigger leaves are obviously being eaten by something - any ideas what it is and what can I do to treat??

The trick is too look at the underside of the leaf as that is usually where leaf-eating creatures hide.
As to the shivelled leaves, that may be down to the hot, dry weather. Figs like a lot of water and if the plant is in full sun, the leaves can get a bit crispy if they haven't been given the amount of water they need.

Be careful, Ceres!  Leaf eating creatures may not be the only things lurking underneath a gentleman's fig leaf? lol.

Might be tortrix moth. Have a look and see if there's anything wiggling in the leaf buds and sooty cobwebs on the leaves

Oh dear I think this may be it. Sooty webs, little green wrigglers. How can I get rid???

No idea🙁 I've cut mine down to sticks to break the cycle. I've tried to sort it for two years. I sort of hope it dies. It's in a huge container that I'd like to use for my bay tree next year.
    Good luck with yours @steven.g.garner
