One of my goldcrest conifers has a weird black and brown sticky substance on one of the branches
Plus, the flies have been taking an extremely keen interest in this plant since this hot weather started. This conifer has been growing at a remarkably fast rate, not so much upwards, but most definitely outwards, I wonder if it's fast growth is causing flies to take an interest in it?
Will this substance cause any harm to the conifer and will it have been left behind by one of the flies?
