ID This shrub

Not mine. Variegated leaves and pure white flowers. However I am informed that it has no scent. That is what is puzzling me.

    A little indistinct , but looks like Philadelphus 'Innocence' ; but I thought this had scented flowers ? :/

    Been suggested as Philadelphus inodorus which is a real possibility.

    @Palustris I think you may have been put off the scent with this ID!
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I am going to send the questioner back to have another sniff.
    It looks more like P. coronarius variegata than anything else.

    When you get old (older) your sense of smell dwindles.  I’ve always loved Philadelphus,  this year I can’t smell it at all.

    Well, the chap who asked about this, is in his 80's.
