Sad cactus and money plant

These two plants belong to my daughter. They live in her bedroom which faces east. Most of her cacti are flourishing, but not these. Please can anyone offer some tips to improve their chances?

There was a great section in cactus and succulent care on last night’s GW.
I have just given resuscitation to a cactus belonging my Dad. I pulled all the silvered leaves off then sat the plant in the sink and drenched it, leaves and all, and let it drain away. Next week I’ll add some gritty soil and top with grit. That’s what I learned last night anyway.
My garden and I live in South Wales.
  • The cactus looks etiolated from lack of light. It would be better in a south window.

Is the bottom one a pilea or peperomia? I Can't tell from the photo.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Ooh, thanks for replying everyone. The bottom one still had a label, it says pilea peperomioides. We will try a different windowsill, and reply the cactus
