How do I ?

I have been given two Campanula Glomerata - Hardy Perennial Plant by a friend.  There are so many varieties I am not sure how to care for them.  Could any members give me advice on care and what to do throughout the year.  I am new to gardening.
Thank you.

Hello @nicedaytoday and welcome to the forum  :)

What a nice gift … tell us a bit about your garden so we can work out what your planting options are.

Its a fairly easy plant. It needs a fairly sunny position, but not too fussy about soil type.  Give the plant a soak for an hour in a bucket of water so the root ball is sodden. Dig a hole and plant it.  Make sure you puddle it in with a watering can of water so the soil settle around it.  This year you will need to water once a week or more if it is hot, but once settled it will be fine.
  • I have a  general small garden the soil is average and I like plants in containers.  Good drainage.  I prefer hardy perennials.  Generally because of my age ( 80 ) I just need the best advise to care for plants.

  • @bédé Whatever you said, but one wonders the kindergarten you were in as little one. If you believe that’s normal to get a kick in the knee and being shouted at when entering the room for the first time, no it’s not what humans in our society do.

In addition to the advice already given, you might find that it has a tendency to spread so give it plenty of room if you can. I have dug up several offshoots over the years, potted them up and passed them on.
Deadhead after flowering and you may well get a second flush of flowers.
