After a gap of 4 years I went to the NEC today and have to say I was rather underwhelmed. Maybe I’m mis remembering but there seemed to be far fewer plant stalls, fewer tool stalls and less variety from my last visit. Was hoping to see some Chrysanths and Franchise Sementi whose seeds are always good value.

    I've been looking at Chelsea for next year but reading lots of bad reviews of how overcrowded it is..

    Was looking at the GW event instead but I thought it looked quite sparse on TV?

    We went to this some years ago,  but we found it was a bit too big, and crowded. Sadly Hampton Court show is going the same way, getting too big to see it all properly.  
    On another note I have heard some exhibitors say there are now too many shows, as well as all the RHS ones there are other regional shows. I think it's quite expensive for them to have stands, so some are limiting which ones they go to, therefore you may not see some of the traders you expect.  A lot more trade on line now, and it's often cheaper for them to do mail order.

    Bought my greenhouse from GW show back on 2009 which was the first of two times I have ever been. I think it used to coincide with the food show? I recall my 2nd visit mid 2010's was not worth the effort and I vowed never to return, and I never did.
