Mystery rose ID - rambler?

dangermousiedangermousie Posts: 356
Hi all,

The rose:
Has clusters of light to dark pink flowers, en masse
Flowers in June
Has no sign of hips, but I have deadheaded quite a bit in the last couple of years.
Flowers on last year's growth

Is it definitely a rambler? Just need to know for pruning purposes.
It would be great to have an ID for my records, but that would be bonus info.
It's very fragrant and not repeat flowering, so I don't think it's Super Fairy.

Thanks!

I think that's 'Laure Davoust'... as there are no hips, prune after flowering.. and perhaps some late winter pruning if you feel it needs it.. dead stems etc..  lovely rambler..

Hello again! I'm trying to figure out how to prune this. I want to keep as much height as possible against the garage wall and arch, but advice says cut old stems down to base. Is there a point where a stem will stop producing flowers?
I'm also finding contradictory info about when to prune it. Some say after flowering, but RHS says later.
If it's after flowering, I might not see next year's flowering shoots and remove them. (I can see a few now). On the other hand, it would free up energy for the new shoots. I'm inclined to go with RHS and wait...
