Can you tell me what this plant is please?

    It could be a perennial one, Fragrant Sunshine is one yellow variety, but yours looks a bit more gold/orange toned than that. Or it could be one of the many varieties that are usually grown as biennials because they tend to get leggy if you keep them after the first year's flowering is over.

    Not sure if it’s a perennial,  they don’t set seeds, sterile plants,  these have the long seed pods. 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    So it does! Probably one of the biennial ones then. Or possibly a wild brassica of some sort but they're normally a lighter yellow like rapeseed.
