advice-needed-please

Hi there,

I've pulled a load of weeds and dead plants out of a raised flowered in my garden, and I'm planning to plant some hydrangeas and some sedum autumn joy, cos these are favourites.  I'd like to put something evergreen in with them so that it looks nice during winter months too.  Any ideas what might go well with these?

I planted a climbing evergreen hydrangea called a Seemani I think that is it's name.

It is against a fence, which has sun after 3 in the afternoon.  It seems toi be doing ok. I water it regular because soil in that area can dry out.

  • Hi Rosanna, how about euonymous emerald n gold, it really shines out on dull winter days, will grow in both part shade and sun can be kept compact with pruning, also small leaf hebe's are great my favourite is purple pixie which flowers from june till about february here in the south even through the snow.  Cistus are great evergreen's too and have flowers in may/june.
