Alemanchier

I would be so grateful if some of you could help me. We have planted a beautiful amelanchier last month. A few weeks later (before the weather became very hot) some leaves started showing signs of stress. It's in the south facing back garden and the leaves look frazzled. Is it the heat?

    Yes - you'll need to follow that instruction by @punkdoc until autumn, unless you get proper, consistent rainfall. Even then, you'll need to keep an eye on it, depending on where it's planted, and how good the growing conditions are. 
    Regular mulching with lots of organic matter after it's had a good soaking will also help. It improves and benefits the soil, as well as helping the tree by retaining the moisture better  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
