What kind of worm is this?

There is quite a few of these in my veggie garden. Im not sure if they are bad or okay. Been googling but there is so many kinds! Any info would be helpful, thanks!

    If you’re thinking of parasitic roundworms AFAIA they cannot live outside the body of their host except as eggs.

    It sounds as if the OP’s garden may be quite wet?

    No,  wasn’t think of animal worms,  having had lots of cats and dogs I know about those,  could t think of the name off hand.
    Yes,  Horsehair worm,  similar to nematodes,   Anything that kills slugs is good for me.

     I feel so stuck. So it's either a parasitic worm and I have to rip my garden apart or it's a horsehair worm and all is fine? 🥲

    I think that in this case you’ll be best off consulting a Canadian forum … you in North America have quite a few different creatures to the ones we have in the UK.  When you find out what it is it would be great if you could let us know … every day is a school day for gardeners.
