I wonder if it could be Pineapple Weed? I am sure others will offer help.
@Fairygirl Will be around at some point I think she may be able to confirm.

Doesn't look right for Pineapple weed.

It has masses of tiny flower buds.
    These will open very soon.
When they do please add more pics to this thread

Hello @Claire204, @GardenerSuze and @Silver surfer. Do you think it could be one of the fennel family e.g. dog fennel or giant fennel?
Another thought - possibly one of the mayweeds?

    Maybe scentless chamomile.

Sorry @GardenerSuze - I've never seen that plant before, or not knowingly anyway  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

@Fairygirl I used to see it in a family garden in Oxfordshire but not locally to me. It does [sort of]smell of pineapples. Perhaps it only lives down south?

Sorry nothing more I can add at this point. I hoped we could help @Claire204 as she may be concerned about her horse?

It could be pineapple weed, growing in good soil it does get pretty big. crush up some of the leaves if it smells very armatic and of pineapple then you'll know.
