Dead heading and Arthritis

Hi, I have arthritis in my left knee, (waiting for opp) and had right knee done 2021. I'm having a lot of pain when deadheading (my fav hobby). Been thinking about getting a stool of some kind just to take the weight off, any ideas anyone I'm desperate lol.

Have you looked at the stools sold for use in a shower cubicle ?  They are quite sturdy and the height can be adjusted  to suit.

'Fraid not @floralies.   I don't kneel to garden anymore as the new knee isn't up to it yet - fine on soft surfaces but not yet on hard ground.

I'm flexible tho and can still touch my toes so I just do jobs like planting and weeding standing up then bending over.  If that goes on too long I just sit and do things sideways.

I have a bar stool I use whilst painting.  It comes up to just below bottom level.  Mine might sink into soft ground, but that would aid stability.

It depends on what the OP is deadheading … many rose bushes could be dead-headed from a bar stool … however a lot of bedding plants could not.

We need to know more about the garden in question.

Its mostly hardy geraniums and geums
Its because I'm bent over with my knees half  bent, I cannot kneel on my replacement knee even after 2 years and my other knee is basically  knackered ( on waiting list "yawn" ). Just been doing 10 minutes then having a rest then another 10 mins etc..

One of the rolling seats that Lyn suggested and a long reach secatuers may be the way to go.

Maybe you just need a long handled pair of secateurs, something like this

No doubt available in the UK.
