Musa. Basjoo Banana

My Musa, I’ve had for 12mths in a pot.
Has started to produce several pups.
How long should I leave them before attempting to separate from parent

    They benefit from being connected to the main banana from my experience but you can normally chop them off as soon as they pop up. I would just gentle dig around them to see if there are any roots being formed, leaving them if there aren't, but if you have the space to leave them there, they will be easier to divide next spring as stronger plants.

    Thanks, thats what I thought as I overwinter it in the shed if severe  frost is forecasted
