Copper Wire

Just read in my electronic version of the Daily Mail a gardener swears by wrapping sticks in copper wire and plants them in the ground claiming it rejuvenates the soil and helps her plants grow. Has anyone tried this? Sounds a load of rubbish to me but you never know.

I make a tin foil hat and wear it from Septuagesima Sunday until All Hallows Eve. I swear it keeps the slugs away.

Being Scottish the DM electronic version is free. I also have a slug problem Dan so I will try out your method. Which tin foil make do you recommend? Is your hat wide brimmed like a Panama hat or short brimmed like a Pork Pie hat?
