Planting a rose

Hiya, I have a potted rose that’s grown really well but I would like to plant it in the garden. I’m reading lots of conflicting advice online. Is it ok to move it now or wait until after summer. Also does it need some special soil mixed in with the border or not? Any advice much appreciated.

I would wait till the autumn, the rose planting time is roughly November to April .It should be ok in the pot till then unless you need the pot of course . It’s too warm to plant roses now . If you buy them potted you are always advised to keep them so until the Autumn.
When you do plant it ,dig a hole in a sunny place in your garden ,as big as the pot it’s in and transfer it from pot to hole . Cover with soil that you’ve removed to make the hole and a sprinkle of bone meal . Water very deeply and wait till February to prune . New shoots should start to come in April/ May time .
