  Friends of ours had one.  He was gorgeous, more like a polar bear in size and colouration but incredibly gentle.  He was the only dog I would ever even consider putting my hand through a letter box to!  When we got a call to say Harvey was very ill we went round to see him for one last time.  Although he was incredibly weak, when I sat on the floor he battled to get onto my lap.  He was some dog.
