Used to use the leaves for students to examine the stomata (pores on the underside of the leaves for the gases to move in/out). Wonderful adaptable plant but can take over an area very quickly.

I've had it growing in the dust and shinning up the drainpipe. If it becomes a nuisance, just tug a bit off or pull the whole thing out. It doesn't have deep roots. It looks good trailing out of containers

  • we have a new property, and this year is the first time we see the gardens.  Does anyone know what this plant is??

I know it as Sedum spectabile.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
