Hello!
This plant has popped up in one of my beds, its now about 4 ft tall, is this a bristly oxtongue?
Any information would be great!

It does look quite like it … any sign of flower buds?

Looks like a big fat overfed dandelion to me.

Oh no, I've just noticed the central stem.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

I’ve never seen dandelion leaves with bristles @bédé

I have seen Bristly Oxtongue with  more bristles than in the photos shown, but IME there is a fair bit of variation … but there’s also another plant that won’t come to my mind … let me fetch my Keble Martin ….

The Hawkweed Oxtongue has fewer bristles than the Bristly Oxtongue … possibly a better bet?
