OAK TREE SAPLING

Hey Guys,

I am new to the gardening world. I took an oak tree sapling (maybe 15in high) from one of my family members and it immediately started dying. I replanted it as soon as I could. It has been in the ground now for about 5 days and I dont see it reviving yet. The leaves are still really dry.

Any thoughts? How can I help this little tree? Should I cut the leaves off? should I cut the stem down? Please help. I would aboslutely love to have an oak in my yard.

Its the wrong time of year to try and transplant an oak tree seedling. It is transpiring faster than the roots can soak up water.   You could try shading it.
