2 Holly trees in pots

Both are shedding leaves. I've over watered them and not enough drainage. I'm a rubbish gardener and kill everything I touch 🙄 can I save my Holly bushes. I only got them last December. I'm giving up gardening. It's not fair on the poor plants 🤷

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The paths of learning may be strewn with flowers but the path to every gardener's store of knowledge is strewn with the corpses of a thousand dead plants.

Without a photo it is difficult to know the extent of the hollys' discomfort. I hope you have been able to move them to containers with good drainage. Keep them out of blazing sunshine for a while (if you have been lucky enough to have any) and keep a good eye on the moisture content of the soil.

If the roots have survived the flood conditions then there is hope for the plants but if the roots have rotted then I'm afraid you will have to put this down to experience.
