Amelanchier lamarckii red leaves in June

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help with my Amelanchier lamarckii which has red and dry looking leaves appear over the last week or so. I have two of these in my garden, about 5m apart and the the other is growing fine - green leaves. Both have been in place for the last 2 years and soil conditions are the same for both. Photos attached. Thanks

That is going into Autumn mode, probably been too dry.
How can you lie there and think of England

I'd agree. They do need reasonable good moisture to grow well, so its not unusual for any shrub/tree to shut down a bit if they're stressed due to dry conditions.
We've had seriously hot dry weather recently, and mine has quite a few reddish leaves. It's another reason I keep thinking we must be in August or something!
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Thanks to you both. I will water well and see what happens.
