Buxus tree

Hi
We bought these trees 3 years ago, both the larger ones started to turn brown but one has recovered.
The smaller ones were also the same. 1 recovering. I'm not by any means green fingered but any ideas if they can be revived?

I don't see a picture, are you well versed on box blight and box caterpillar? The caterpillars are veritable plague, but "technology" has improved of late. There are nematodes now

How often do you water them?
How can you lie there and think of England

The one in the first pic is dead.
Watering has to be thorough with anything potted, but especially woody plants of any kind. Against a house wall tends to be dry too, so you have to be very vigilant with watering - you can't rely on rain, because it can't get in easily to anything with a lot of foliage. Wind is also very drying. Box likes plenty of moisture, so the growing medium has to be moisture retentive enough, and every two days in summer probably isn't anywhere near enough, especially for a big specimen like those.
It would also need to be in decent soil, so if it's only in compost it won't be getting enough water.
It isn't just in summer that conditions can be dry too, and once a potted plant gets dried out, it isn't always easy to rehydrate it either.  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
