Wild flower

Can someone identify this wild flower for me please. Seen in hedgerows in both Northumberland and Cumbria

    Thanks fidgetbones, I looked it up on Google and I’m certain you’re correct. Apparently as a herbal remedy it was thought to cure stitches in the side when you’ve been running…I’m far too old for that sort of stitch😀

    Used to love popping the seed pods when we were children. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
