Hydrangea Serrata

Hi,I have a few things going on with my hydrangea and can't seem to work out what it may be.I have searched online but as you know there are a whole host of problems and trying to work out what it is, is a nightmare.Noticed a few bubbly leaves the last 3 weeks and today a foam substance and dried white stuff on stem, not sure if thats dried foam.Any ideas thanks.

It's just froghoppers - there's a little green insect inside the froth. They're sap suckers, but rarely cause any long term damage to a healthy plant.
    Harmless  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

I would pick that dried stuff off and see if it’s living.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Thanks :) do you think that's what has caused the leaves to bubble also.
