Lifted some hardy geranium - what next?

Hello

Some geranium had encroached into another area and I removed a few.

What can I do with these? Can I replant into another area? Maybe burying deeper?

Or shall I plant them but cut off most of the growth above?

Thank you 🌱

Yes - just divide into decent sized pieces, with a decent amount of root, and either plant or pot up for planting later, depending on the size of the pieces.
Don't bury deeper, but you can cut them back a little so that the roots can cope more easily. Most geraniums are pretty forgiving though  :)

I would cut off all the top growth at this time of year, perhaps except for one or two small leaflets. They will bounce back!

I've spread this everywhere as its a good filler for transitional areas of the garden.

I simply bury the roots in pots of any old compost at any time of year and in all the years of doing so I don't think I've ever not have one come up!
