@Silver surfer Yes I did thankyou, it has been driving me crazy this one, just did not have a clue where to start! I have been back and looked a few times with no thoughts other than it looked like a woody plant. Think it is going to neeed alot of pruning!Â
@Paul B3 I know what you mean but it did look more shrubby. I didn't recognise the leaf markings. I am sure you agree it is a beauty.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I have seen these cut right back ..that promotes the new foliage which starts pink. Many years ago it was THE must have garden tree. Now not seen so often.
