Passion plant

My first post
We brought a small common passion flower plant , the sort you get from garden centres or super markets , its about 10 years old , and showing it's age , the plant roots grew through the pot and all the way across the garden , about 5 meters, this was under decking , since we replaced the decking ,the plant looks dead ( see pictures) has it run it's course , is it time to replace.
Last year ir was covered with blooms
Any advice will be grateful .

Did you damage the roots when you replaced the decking?

It's possible , the root was huge , so damage was likely

A pot isn't ideal for them, as you've discovered, because they want to become large plants with large root systems.
If you get another one, and you can't plant it in the ground, you'll need to build a large bed for it, and then keep it pruned/trimmed enough to prevent it getting too rampant and going where you don't want it. It's probably not the ideal plant for your purpose though  :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

If there are no signs of life (I see green shoots on top of the pergolas but it looks more like Virginia creeper) I'd chop it down to a few inches above the soil and see if it regrow from there. They are hardy but not completely hardy if we get a really cold winter but I think its more likely the work you had done.
I agree with the others that it isn't a plant for a pot really.
