red cordylines

red cordylines lost all leaves, just trunk remaining  a few new shoots at the bottom, any advice ?

    It's been a common situation this year, and is due to the wet/freeze/repat cycle.
    As you have new growth appearing at the bottom, you can cut the trunk back, and those new shoots will carry on growing, and replace the previous plant. You may find you'll have a multi stemmed plant instead, but you can also remove some to keep a similar shape/habit to the previous plant.  :)
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • On mine the tops and middle are dying and one has small shoots at the bottom. Will they recover and can you plant the shoots out as new plants ?

    If it has new, viable shoots at the bottom, it should recover and grow. 
    Just cut the old trunk back and let it carry on. 
    I don't know if you can easily remove and plant the new pieces as I don't grow them, but most people just leave the new shoots to take over from the old plant  :)
