A gift! This arrived unasked.
It's the white flower I am asking about.  It has a pretty, light fragrance, a bit like cloves or dianthus, and is I believe a perennial as I recognise the leaves from previous years, but I have never before seen it flower.

Yes I agree. The scent on warm evenings is delicious.

Lovely. I thought it might be but thought it was an annual or biennial. Can it last for several years? We are warm and sheltered here.

In this garden it’s a shortlived perennial and thankfully seeds itself about a bit. I just keep an eye open for the offspring so they don’t get weeded out. These ‘just appeared’ in this bed … having spread from a bed at least 15’ away.

    Loved by nightflying pollinators 😊
