My Pinus Mugo is absolutely full of this writhing mass. I am assuming some sort of Sawfly larvae?

    Seem to have arrived at the same time as the sawfly on Polygonatum. I am sure you are right.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    I think they could be European pine sawfly.
