My very large albertine rose has a really bad dose of black spot. It's not practical to pick off the leaves. What can I do? I'm inclined to prune it back to sticks as soon as it's finished flowering.
Perhaps time for a change. There are better climbing roses today than Albertine. I admit the scent isgood, but the flowers die in an ugly way, especially in a wet year (perhaps not 2023).
