Lupin aphids

I have cut down and bagged up my aphid infested lupins because I don’t want them to affect any other plants . What is the best way to dispose of them please ?

Spray them with soapy water and put them in your compost bin.
I think those lupin aphids are particular to lupins only so shouldn't spread to other plants.

I put a rubber glove on and wipe the aphids off the lupins. Do that a few times and they seem to disappear.

I tried that because I love lupins but they just kept coming back so I have had to give up.
