Tree identification

Hi all, please may you tell me what tree this is?

    It looks to me like a prunus of some kind … plum, damson, greengage … that sort of thing. You’ll know more as the fruit develops and ripens. 

    Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

    Ok, not a pear then, that was my guess!
    It seems to have gone to fruit and it's the only one we have. I was going to get a companion for it, but seems it's not needed. Though I don't think I've ever seen it fruit.
    We do have a bee hive now, so maybe that's helped.
