Cordyline gone nuts

Flowering like crazy this year, never seen it anywhere near this. I wonder if it enjoyed the hot summer (or the opposite - it's stressed and wants to set loads of seed?)

    Just a Cordyline doing what Cordylines do ; the expired flower heads can be easily removed as they fade to grey .
