New apple tree help - brown spots on leaves

Hello all,

I recently planted a new apple tree and it's started to show brown spots!! I am dismayed, as I've been taking such good care of it.

I have googled what it could be but there are a few things that come up. If someone is more experienced and can give an opinion about what might be ailing my little tree I would be most grateful!!

I have attached some photos.

  • There may be a Juniper tree nearby which carries a fungus and I believe the fungus migrates in the warmer months to apple/ pear trees .  I have had the same problem the year before last , but I am no expert .
  • A  ,  what I thought was  Leylandi tree in the garden across from me has purplish like berries on it which I googled and found out it was a Juniper Tree .
  • Oh no, so it's a fungus. I thought it might be. I don't think it's curable :(

It doesn’t look too bad to me. I wouldn’t be too concerned. My pear tree gets rust most years. I pick off the badly affected leaves and bag and bin them .., otherwise I do nothing … it crops really well. 😊

  • I wouldn't worry about it, it's well within the parameters of what the tree can cope with...
