Plum tree dead branches

Hi everyone I’m new to the site, so thanks in advance. I’ve seen some posts about plum trees without leaves, so I thought I would have a go for my tree. Only one side of the tree has leaves. Can anyone advise? - see pictures sorry about the rotation but I don’t know why it did this?

It could have had silver leaf which kills it. Prune all dead wood out  in the summer months, so you could do it now.  You will end up with a funny shape tree, but better that than dead. Do not prune plum trees in winter.

I have turned and brightened your photos for a better view. Sideways photos are a long standing problem here, nothing you did wrong.

I don't think it is worth persevering with your tree, it has come to the end of its life. Sounds brutal but if you just removed all the dead wood you would be left with a very unbalanced tree which wouldn't survive for much longer.

Thanks I’ll cut out the dead wood and see if I get anything from it this year 👍🏻

Thanks for changing the pics, I’ll trim it for this summer and get this summer and see if we get fruit. We didn’t get much last year
