Recently purchased potted lemon tree has decided to shed much foliage. Can anyone help?

    Unreliable source.  Shock of the moves.  Temperature changes.  Too wet (toooo dry). Too dark.

    It's what my lemon tree does overwinter in a light(-ish) garage.  It soon regrows when back in the open.
     location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.
