Without the flower to distinguish it from others it could be a number of different plants so I'm sticking with what I said in my first post above. I think it would be worth waiting for the flower before deciding on a definite ID and considering what to do with them. Don't remember finding small parsnips when I was pulling up willowherb in the past.
Looks more evening primrose-y to me. Even the big willow herbs in my garden don’t look like that.
Not familiar with the phlox you mentioned. I’ll have a google.
Turns out you were right! It is evening primrose, but sadly we have by now pulled most of them out Moral of the tale being let it flower, as some wise souls have already said......
No longer newish but can't think of a new name so will remain forever newish.
